Eximus CD5
Korea's April Music follows up their introduction of the Ai500 and CDP500 components with the Eximus CD5 [$9.000] which runs Philip's best CD-PRO 2LF transport and offers an array of digital i/o ports including coax, 2 x optical and USB in and coax, optical and AES/EBU out. Analog outputs are on both RCA and XLR. Dynamic range is specificed as 120dB, frequency response as 10Hz - 55kHz and upsampling to 48/96kHz is selectable and defeatable. The cosmetic design called for only 8 controls, four on the front, four on the top. The CD5 premiered at CES 2010.
